State/Prov.: Colorado Occupation: university lecturer; political commentator; former civil rights attorney Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 2 What is your fondest memory of high school?: Laughing (and crying) my way down life's often rocky roads with my best friend, Tina Daniels (now Newlin) From Dani: Ron Schoenberg (from Minnesota) and I l celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary this June. We met in Boulder when I was an undergrad at C.U. - oh what a fantabulous time!! We have two fabulous children, Nicholas - 24, who is still trying to figure out the meaning of life (as am I), and McKenna - 15, a varsity swimmer at Cherry Creek High School. I am NOT a grandmother (at least as far as I know). I practiced civil rights and labor law at the Colorado Attorney General's office before deciding to swim with a different pack of sharks: the media and politicians. I did a radio talk show on KHOW and KOA in Denver, and still appear as a panelist on a local political TV talk show. I got fed up with politicians (but not politics) working as communications director for the Senate Democrats and then the Colorado Democratic Party in the early 2000s. I'm back in school now: I teach American constitutional law history at CU-Denver, and am a couple of classes and a thesis away from my masters in American history. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you at this summer's reunion - and am thankful that through the miracle of middle age, I can no longer become pregant! (I was 8 months pregnant at our 10th reunion - and had just had a C-section before the 20th) |

City: Houston State/Prov.: Texas Occupation: Scene Shop Foreman Website: www.theatredance.uh.edu Marital Status: Divorced No. of Children: 2 What is your fondest memory of high school?: Why, the Theater of course From Drew: After graduating from UNC in 1978 and then a 6 month road tour on the east coast, I landed the dream job of life in Houston,Tx. I have been with The University of Houston School of Theater and Dance for 30 years as Scene Shop Foreman and Master Carpenter. Not only do I supervise the construction of all scenic elements for all shows, but I also design and build various shows around the city. My favorite of these outside projects is the Musical I do for a local high school. I've been doing this gig since 1990. I still have a big soft spot for Musical Theater. I also build a summer rep. season for The Houston Shakespeare Festival and The Children's Theater Festival. These are professional projects of the school and I get to work with a paid staff for three months instead of students. This job is the second love of my life, the first being my kids. Jessica is 21 this year and is studying to be a photographer and my son Nick is a junior in high school and plays a pretty mean trumpet! There are hundreds of stories to tell, and no room to tell them. In short, life is good! |
